Bridge to Discovery
Our Why
As a student, science never "clicked" for me. It often felt abstract, a collection of text, theories and formulas disconnected from the reality of daily life. Like many young people, I lacked a personal bridge to the subject, and my interest remained largely untapped.
That changed when my father fell ill.
Navigating the complexities of his illness forced me to immerse myself in the world of medicine. What began as a necessity quickly transformed into a deep fascination with biology. As I dug deeper into biotechnology, the life sciences, and synthetic biology, I finally recognized their real-world impact. I saw firsthand that these are not just academic subjects; they are the fundamental keys to life-changing innovations, treatments, and human longevity.
I realized then that we should not have to wait for a personal crisis to spark this kind of passion. We need to give the next generation a headstart.
It is with great personal pride that I announce the launch of the Bridge to Discovery grant. This initiative has been brought to life with the invaluable support of my founding board—individuals who are leaders in their fields, but more importantly, are my great friends.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the laboratory. By focusing on hands-on science and R&D, we are providing youth with the early exposure necessary to become the visionaries of tomorrow. Whether it is supporting research into longevity or exploring the frontiers of synthetic biology, our goal is to fuel the discoveries that will define the next century.
The youth are our future, and the Bridge to Discovery grant is our commitment to giving them the tools to build it.
